400% growth in search volumes for Littlewoods Ireland in 6 months

A six month online display and search project conducted for Littlewoods Ireland by First Advertising saw terrific results for this dynamic fashion retailer and online department store.

Results from Google Trends indicate that their search activity increased by a staggering 400% in that period. This growth was achieved during a period prior to Littlewoods Ireland substantially augmenting their advertising spend in the Irish market. The increase in web traffic and search volumes is substantially attributable to online activity conceived, hosted and served by First.

The online display campaign featured a variety of ad formats featuring a wide variety video and flash content.

Other campaign activity included the sponsorship of the Xposé pages on TV3.ie which tied in with a Littlewoods Ireland presence and promotion at the Xposé Live show.

We also achieved high traffic levels through a targeted campaign of PPC advertising on Facebook for Littlewoods. Littlewoods Ireland was one of the first Irish brands to use Facebook as a traffic driver in any concerted way. The key benefit of our placing ads on Facebook for was that it enabled us to deliver a substantially lower average cost per click (CPC) than was possible on more heavily trafficked search advertising platforms such as Google Adwords.

One of the more tactical executions in the campaign, a series of Back to School display ads, won Online Ad of the month from Sales Online.
